£10,000 Reward Offered After Elmo the Dog Had Almost All His Bones Broken and Was Dumped in a Graveyard

A heartbreaking case of cruelty has unfolded in Prenton, Merseyside. A small dog, named Elmo by rescue staff, was discovered abandoned in a cemetery with an extensive list of injuries.

Almost every bone in his body had been broken over the course of several years, and he had been severely mistreated and neglected. Elmo’s injuries were so severe that he had to be humanely euthanized.

History has proved that people who are violent to animals go on to be violent to humans. Cases of cruelty to animals appear on the records of many serial rapists and murders, as people who enjoy harming others often start out by hurting animals who are unable to report or name their abuser.

We’re offering a reward of up to £10,000 for information that will lead to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for this heinous cruelty.

It’s imperative that any community faced with a sadistic and violent act like this one take measures to find the culprits and bring them to justice. Animal abusers are a danger to everyone: they take their issues out on whomever is available to them – human or non-human – and must be caught before they act again.

The perpetrator may be inflicting prolonged torture on other animals right now. Anyone with information about this case is encouraged to contact the RSPCA on 0300 123 8018.
