By Yhanni Guadalupe-Butcher, A Bohemian Vegan

Ingredients

½ block of extra firm tofu

1 cup oil

Dry Ingredients

½ tsp Onion powder

½ tsp Garlic

½ tsp Cayenne pepper

1 tsp Old bay

½ tsp Pepper

½ tsp Salt

¼ tsp Chipotle pepper

1 tsp Paprika

1 tbsp Nutritional yeast

1/2 cup Flour

Toppings:

Vegan Bun

Lettuce

3 tbsp Vegan Ranch (I found this at Walmart)

1 tsp Texas Pete

Directions

  1. Cut your block in half wrapping one half in a sandwich bag for later use, and put the other half of your tofu block on a cutting board and press out the water with a couple paper towels. You want your block to be a little moist but not soaking wet.
  2. Cut your pressed block length ways to make your two “patties
  3. Combine your dry ingredients in a small bowl
  4. Coat your tofu on all sides with the dry ingredients and with your oil at about 350 degrees, Carefully put the tofu in
  5. Cook until golden brown on all sides
  6. Place on a plate with a couple napkins to drain excess oil
  7. For sauce: Mix Texas Pete and Ranch together in a bowl
  8. This is served best on a lightly toasted vegan bun with vegan Texas Ranch or just vegan Ranch and lettuce. Enjoy!
