Woodstock Farm Sanctuary is moving and they need your help!

One of our favorite animal sanctuaries is moving! Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary has grown too big for their britches and they need more space–to save more animals! So they are moving on up to High Falls, NY! They are going from 23 to a whopping 150 acres. That’s a lot of space for a lot of animals in need!

You want to help them? Of course you do! And you can! Even if you can only afford to donate a little, you can feel good knowing you stood up for abused farm animals–animals our society thinks are a commodity, not deserving of love and care.

If you can’t afford to donate, the sanctuary needs other help too:

We need tons of help, particularly if you have any carpentry or construction/trade skills. Electricians and plumbers who can donate
their time are especially needed. Interns, too! Please contact us. We can even provide accommodations!

And look at this amazing place all the cutie pie animals will get to live in:

Wow, right? Beautiful. I can’t wait to visit!

If you are not familiar with the work of Woodstock sanctuary, this is their latest success story: meet Fawn!

What a darling baby. If you want to help save more animals like Fawn, learn about the move and what you can do on their site. Let’s do this!

VeganCrates: perfectly packaged food gifts for your fave vegans! PLUS 10{ae720e0b436026f867bfa0c31185c2252a138f27e85f5f152ec5acc1c10a8cc9} off for Vegansaurs!

I randomly came across this site VeganCrates.com and was like omg why did no one tell me about this?! This company is delightful! They send all-vegan gift baskets but instead of baskets, you get a cute crate!

I totally heart sending people presents but I try to avoid giving “stuff” stuff, I prefer to send consumables. I live in NYC! People don’t want more stuff! But consumables, that’s a nice prezzie that goes away! So obvi Vegan Crates is right up my alley.

I wrote to them to see what they are all about and they sent me a free crate, pictured up top.

They have six different pre-curated crates to choose from, with options like a chocolate-lovers crate, a gluten-free crate–even a special Easter crate! But the most tantalizing to me was the sweet and spicy crate. And guess what! That’s the very one they sent! They are in my brain.

The selection varies I suppose but it’s basically what you see on the site, like…maybe not those specific spicy chips but you get spicy chips, etc. As you can see, mine came with lots of exciting goodies. Cocomels are my fave so HUZZAH! But to my delight there were several things I hadn’t tried before as well. Like have you had Bare Snacks coconut chips before? I never heard of them–they are totes yummy! I also hadn’t heard of Amella caramels before but I’m stoked to try them! You know I love sweet and salty stuff.

Also fun, besides the 6 pre-fab crates, you can customize your own! That will prob be my favorite one. It’s like you get to go shopping within shopping!

All the main crates are $48 and you get 8 goodies per crate I believe. Shipping is free, so that’s nice. OH AND! Until the end of April, Vegansaurs get 10{ae720e0b436026f867bfa0c31185c2252a138f27e85f5f152ec5acc1c10a8cc9} any purchase! Just enter “VEGANSAURUS10″ as your promo code. YAY I’m always looking out for you.

Of course you can create your own gift packs at home and I totally encourage that but this is a nice gift option too–great vegan selection and super duper easy! If you love to send gifts but are allergic to post offices like myself, welcome to our new favorite thing.

Wheaty: amazing vegan sausage from Germany!

Who makes better sausage than the Germans?! Lucky for us German sausage-lovers, Wheaty is making real deal German sausage, vegan-style. YAY!

My fave is the Gran Chorizo. I get it on VeganEssentials.com. It’s not spicy like I think chorizo usually is, it’s a mild flavor. But it’s firm and sausage-y and just tastes good. I eat it on crackers, with a little vegan cheese if I have some or just on it’s own. And my very favorite chickpea frittata filling is grilled onion and Wheaty chorizo. Yumsville!

I love Wheaty so much that I wrote them to tell them. Then they sent me some of their super fun “space bars” to try!

They are all yummy. I ate them plain and they are a great little snack. I gave the spicy one to my friends Jess and James because I knew it would be perfect for their camping adventures! They were super into it, ate it on crackers as well. The space bars keep for super long and you don’t need to refrigerate them. Jess and James agree, Space Bars are the jam!* You can get many of the flavors on Vegan Essentials as well. If your kid likes sausage, these would be great in a lunch box. And you can just keep them around the office or whatevs if you ever want a savory snack you can grab real easy.

Not only do they make darn good sausage, the company is super environmentally friendly too! And all their products are palm oil free. Basically, I’m in love!

What I really want though is to try their fresh products we can’t get here. I have some fam in Germany, I’m going to visit and be like…”yeah museums sound cool…if they are open after I’m done eating all the Wheaty Schnitzel and Bratwurst!” I mean, LOOK AT THIS STUFF:

I WANT. I want bad. For now though, I will keep eating the chorizo. But…one day!

*haaaaa Space Jam.
