We made dumplings with Certified Vegan Jada Plant-based Porkless Mix. These dumplings are so flavorful. We pan fried ours, feel free to steam or boil them instead. Check out this Bon Appétit article for optional dumpling cooking methods. Enjoy 🙂
INGREDIENTS
FILLING
- 1 package of Jada Porkless Mix
- 1 tbsp. grated ginger
- 1 tbsp. chopped garlic
- 1 tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 tbsp. toasted sesame oil
- 4 scallions diced
DIP
- 1 tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 tbsp. Chinese Black Vinegar
- 1 tsp. chili oil
- 1 tsp. toasted sesame oil
- 1 finely diced scallion
- 1 package of pre-made dumpling wrappers (If frozen, defrost per directions on package)
- 1 tsp. vegetable oil for frying
DIRECTIONS
- Prepare Jada Porkless Mix per direction on the box for crumbles. Pan fry till a golden brown color.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked Jada Plant-based Pork, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, toasted sesame oil and the four diced scallions.
- Mix all of the ingredients together and place to the side.
Directions for Folding the Dumplings
- Scoop about two tablespoons of dumpling filling onto the center of the wrapper.
- Dip your finger into a small bowl of water and wet the outer edges of the dumpling wrapper.
- Fold both sides into a half-moon shape. Seal the edges into pleats. Once you have sealed the dumplings, firmly press the pleated side with your fingers to make sure the dumpling is well sealed.
Panfry
- Add one teaspoon.of oil to a frying pan on medium heat.
- Panfry the dumplings until golden brown on each side.
- Add two tablespoons of water to the pan and cover to steam the dumplings for a couple of minutes.
- Remove the lid and let the extra moisture evaporate.
Dipping Sauce
- In one container add soy sauce, Chinese Black Vinegar, chili oil, toasted sesame oil and one finely diced scallion.
- Combine ingredients and serve.
- Eat as many as you can and enjoy! 🙂
